I Hands-On Training on Wetlab Model
I Dissection of the Wetlab Heart Model
The hands-on training will begin with dissection of the wetlab heart model that will help you to understand the:
1. Gross overview of the mitral valve anatomy (annulus, anterior and posterior leaflets and the scallops (A1-3 ad P1-3),
2. The commissures, chordae and the papillary muscles) and the
3. Neighbouring structures of the mitral annulus:
- Coronary sinus
- Circumflex artery
- The landmark of the bundle of HIS.
4. Left atrium and the left atrial appendage
5. Aortic valve (the non-coronary and left coronary sinus segments including the aortic-mitral septum.
